These little thingies lasts only about a week or two. So I figured I could use some sunshine, swinging my camera at pretty flowers while I'm at it.
Tour Guide
Eunpa park is one of the major tourist parks in Gunsan City. It's got a lake, duck boats and a bridge. Once in a while, music accompanies water fountain shows. Some nights there are light shows at the fountain. Musicians give free concerts on the main stage when the weather is nice.
Beside that, it's one of the main areas for cherry blossom season in Gunsan. You can stroll through a flower archway on the main path into the park. I envision the day when the whole perimeter of the lake becomes a line of bright pink color.
It's not hard to get there. At least half of the city busses drive past this park. It's in between Miryongdong, which is the Gunsan University district, and Naundong/Jigokdong. Also, there are signs pointing to Eunpa Park around the city.
Tip: Try pedalling the duck boats for a romantic experience. Or walk hand-in-hand across the bridge in the evening, which is lit with colored lights from sundown until 10pm. There are a few very good (and expensive) restaurants and cafes with a gorgeous view intermittently paced around the lake. Walking around the whole lake takes quite a while though, so unless you're okay with spending an entire day walking or cycling, just stick to the main areas. If you're marathon training, you'd get a nice workout to start each morning by circumnavigating Eunpa.
Warning : There's ton of fish, yet be warned that fishing is illegal. Also, don't swim. A pretty lake doesn't mean the cleanest water.
