Weekly Photo: Flammable Bartenders

Just about a year ago our Editor-In-Chief Ashley Guerrero cut off all her hair for a charity event. Cool haircut, everyone loved it, but she needed a drink. So we hit up the pub and then the bartenders started breathing fire out of their mouths.

Tour Guide

This photo was taken at a popular bar in Gunsan, Jeollabukdo called M2. It's in Naundong, right across from TLC, on the same street as the Naundong clinic. There you'll find loud music, dark lighting and laser shows with the occasional fire show (usually if you buy a fire shot for about 12k won).

Fire shows are common in Korean bars like this. Most of the time it's for celebrating somebody's birthday, any special occasion or if you need to lighten your wallet in exchange for a fancy shot and some fireworks.

The fuel used to create the fire effect is usually Bacardy 151. People don't drink it that much and instead they prefer to set things on fire with the alcohol. 151 makes a prettier show than when somebody actually drinks it.
